His Birth

The birth, and death of alchemist St Germain is a mystery for his origins are not known, and he disappeared leaving no trace.  There are many presumptions regarding the birth of St Germain.

The Negative Stories About His Birth

The negative stories about his birth that are still floating around today are he was born of a Jewish Portugese named Aymar, or that he born of a Jewish Alsatian named Wolff, or that he was born in a French commune on April 15, 1707.

Most Widely Believed Stories About His Birth

The most widely believed of the birth, and origins of alchemist St Germain is that he was born of Spanish Queen Marie de Neubourg (widow of Charles II of Spain) and Comte (Count) Adanero.

Recently, a genealogy study was conducted by a Theosophist, named Annie Besant who has given the following findings.  Annie Besant, states that alchemist St Germain is the son of Francis Racoczi II, Prince of Transylvania.  The children of Francis Racoczi II were raised by Austria Emperor, except one was taken (told to be dead) and raised by the last descendant of the Italian Medici family.  The meaning of his name came from San Germano, a small Italian town where his father had estates.  His identity was kept a secret in fear of possible vengeance from the Emperor of Austria.

Unexplained Mysteries

  • Tradition relates to us that alchemist St Germain says that he knew Jesus, and was present at the Council of Nicea.  During this time alchemist St Germain associated with men with whom he had much contempt.
  • 1784, is the year, rumored to be his death.  Inadvertently, he was seen after 1784, and numerous times over the next thirty-seven years.
  • 1785, he was representative for the Freemasonry Great Convention.
  • 1786, he met with The Empress of Russia.
  • 1789, Comtesse d’Adhemar conversed with St Germain in the Church of the Recollets.
  • He was seen up through the year 1821 looking ‘not one year over’ the age of fifty.

Personage of Comte St Germain

  • Comte de-St Germain was middle height, with a strong build, and was always superbly but modestly dressed, except for the diamonds that he wore on his shoes.  He was fully conscious of his superiority, and to the highly placed personages he spoke with a lack of ceremony.
  • He once walked into a room threw down his sword, and his hat, sat down near the fire in an armchair.  He interrupted the conversation, and told the man speaking “You don’t know what you are talking about!  I am the only competent person able to speak on this subject, and I have exhausted it.  The same happened with music, I gave it up after finding I had no more to learn.”
  • Everything he did, he mastered.  He played the violin, until he reached perfection, and grew bored with it.  Many people heard him play the violin and said he surpassed the greatest of that period.
  • Additionally, he was an artist.  He showed his art to those he considered deserving.  His artwork is described as singular in perfection, and works of a higher order.
  • However, he was unable to master poetry as proven by a letter addressed to Marie Antoinette, and a comedy outline sent at the request of Madam de Pompadour.

Diamonds and Pearls

  • It is also believed, and said that he was able to create gold at will.
  • He had enormous wealth, that he lived on.  However, he had no money on deposit in banks.
  • He never admitted to making large quantities of gold, but he did admit to making large diamonds out of several “small stones”.  He wore diamonds in his shoes and garters that were worth 200,000 francs, or more.  He was obsessed with valuable stones, and carried them with him everywhere, in a small container that looked like a casket.
  • He claimed to be able to increase the size of pearls with his will, and possessed some pearls of an amazing size.
  • He nonchalantly gave a gift of white and green jewels encased in a beautiful cross to Madam du Hausset, which she originally rejected.  After eventually accepting the gift, she had it analyzed and found that the stones were authentic, and extremely valuable.

Fountain of Youth

It is said that he was 300 years old when he disappeared without a trace.

A musician named Rameau, and Madam de Gergy claim they met Saint Germain in 1710, when he was called Marquis de Montferrat.  They say that in 1710 Comte St Germain looked to be 40, no more than 50 years old, and he gave the Madam an elixir that would preserve her appearance without the tiniest wrinkle.  She said stated a gift like that could not be forgotten.  However, when St Germain was questioned about the meeting 50 years later, he denied it stating, ‘It is not possible, but I do confess that likely this lady for whom I have a great respect is talking nonsense.’

He had a conversation with Madam de Genlis during her childhood, and asked her if when she turned seventeen or eighteen, would she like to look that age for a great many years?  and she replied yes,  he said “very well, I promise you that you shall”, and immediately changed the subject.

During 1750 through 1760 St Germain was greatly celebrated.  Everyone that knew him during this time says he looked to be forty (40) or fifty (50) years old.  He disappeared in 1760, and in 1775 was seen again by Comtesse d’Adhemar who said he still looked the same, and not a day older.

No one every saw Saint Germain eating, or drinking.  It is said that he purged with a recipe made of senna pods, and ate oatmeal as his principle food.

Human life can extend infinitely to a time frame originally  attributed to it.  It is the activity of nerves, flame of desire, acid of fears which consume the organism. He who can raise himself above emotions, suppressing anger and fear of illness, can overcome age.  Let the face of a man not be tormented by his emotions.

Saint Germain said that by slowing the beating of his heart, and his breathing he could stop the human clock while in sleep.  Throughout an entire century memoirs and writings depict Saint Germain as retaining his ageless appearance.

Secret Societies

Comte Saint Germain dreamed that one day high towers would be available allowing man communication with the heavens.  His influence over Freemasonry, whom he served as representative at their highest court, and other secret societies has been a great source of inspiration.

Saint Germain was known and understood in every Masonic lodge in France, and the Philalethes.

St Germain helped to build the foundation for the Society called Asiatic Brothers, and the Knights of Light, whom were alchemists.

It was Comte Saint Germain that enlightened, or was muse for Mesmer and his ideas on hypnotism, and personal magnetism.

St Germain tried to bring the knowledge of immortality to chosen initiates he believed the teachings would spread and a spiritual radiation would gradually develop.  They spoke of unknown higher superiors who held the secrets of freedom for immortality.

St Germain believed, and taught that man is infinite, with unlimited possibilities.  In order for man to reach his highest potential, he must free himself from matter, which will allow him to enter into communication with higher intelligences.

Today, there are many societies who consult Saint Germain, and have attributed to him a Ray of Light.

Comte Saint Germain is ruler of the 7 rays within our solar system.  The seventh ray is the violet ray, and governs the Age of Aquarius.  Generally, there is a new astrological age every 2,158 years.

We are coming into the Age of Aquarius now, The seventh ray, is the violet ray of freedom.  St Germain is the master or god of freedom for this system of worlds.

Comte Saint Germain is praised for having powers that are god like, and is referred to as the Master of Ancient Wisdom.  He also mastered the fountain of youth, as he claimed to be centuries old.  It is said that he knew the secrets that held the mystery for universal medicine, and was the master over nature.

Comte Saint Germain was an excellent conversationalist, and when out to diner he never touched his plate, and was never seen eating in public.  Quite the ladies man, St Germain gave women gifts, most notably a facial wash that promised to make them young again.
