Using SATS to Manifest

How to Practice

SATS stands for State Akin to Sleep. The term was popularized by spiritual teacher Neville Goddard to describe the deeply relaxed, drowsy state experienced just before falling asleep or shortly after waking.

In this state, your body is relaxed while your mind remains gently aware. Mental resistance may become quieter, making it easier to focus on an imagined experience and connect emotionally with your desired outcome.

SATS complements the 3-6-9 manifestation method because repetition helps you declare your intention, while SATS helps you experience the feeling of that intention already unfolding.

Why Feeling Matters

Repeating an intention without connecting to its meaning can become mechanical. SATS encourages you to move beyond the words and imagine how you might feel if your desire were already present in your life.

You are not attempting to force yourself to believe something or control exactly how it must happen. You are allowing yourself to experience the gratitude, relief, peace, freedom, or fulfillment associated with your intention.

The goal is not to create a long or complicated visualization. A brief scene that implies your desire has been fulfilled is enough.

How to Practice SATS

  1. Choose a quiet time.
Practice before falling asleep, after waking, or whenever you can become deeply relaxed without interruption.
  2. Relax your body.
Close your eyes and take several slow, natural breaths. Release tension from your face, shoulders, hands, stomach, and legs.
  3. Bring your intention to mind.
Use the same clear intention you selected for your 21-day 3-6-9 practice.
  4. Create a short scene.
Imagine one simple moment that would naturally occur if your intention were already unfolding. Experience the scene from your own perspective, as though you are present within it.
  5. Engage your senses.
Notice what you see, hear, touch, or feel. You do not need perfect mental pictures. A feeling, thought, sound, or sense of knowing may be enough.
  6. Feel the desired state.
Allow yourself to experience the gratitude, relief, security, love, freedom, or peace connected to your fulfilled intention.
  7. Repeat the scene gently.
Let the same short scene repeat without strain. Continue until it feels natural, you become deeply relaxed, or you fall asleep.

SATS Example

If your intention is:

I am grateful that $10,000 is now flowing into my life for my highest good.

You might imagine looking at your account balance and seeing that the money has arrived. Perhaps you place your hand over your heart, take a relieved breath, and quietly say:

Thank you. It has arrived. I am supported, secure, and ready to use it wisely.

Keep the scene brief. You do not need to determine where the money came from or control every detail of how it arrived. Focus on the feeling of your intention being safely and positively fulfilled.

Combining SATS With the 3-6-9 Method

You may use SATS after completing your evening nine repetitions:

  • Complete your nine written or spoken declarations.
  • Close your eyes and relax your body.
  • Imagine one brief scene that represents your intention fulfilled.
  • Feel the desired emotional state.
  • Release the scene and rest.

Your written repetition establishes clarity. Your visualization encourages embodiment. Your willingness to release the outcome creates space for wisdom, opportunity, and inspired action.

If You Cannot Visualize Clearly

Not everyone sees vivid mental images. You may naturally connect more strongly through feelings, inner words, sounds, or a quiet sense of knowing.

Instead of forcing yourself to see a detailed picture, you can:

Hear someone congratulating you.

  • Imagine yourself saying, “It is done.”
  • Feel your body relaxing with relief.
  • Sense the peace of knowing that you are supported.
  • Repeat a short phrase that represents fulfillment.

There is no need to perform the practice perfectly. Use the form of imagination that feels most natural to you.

Practice Without Pressure

SATS is a tool for focused imagination and emotional alignment—not a guarantee that a particular outcome will occur in a specific way or within a specific period.

After completing the practice, release the need to constantly check for results. Remain attentive to guidance, opportunities, practical decisions, and inspired actions that support your intention.

Declare your desire clearly.
Feel its meaning deeply.
Release the need to control the path.
Remain willing to act when the next step is revealed.
